Hi Carey Lu, I summarized our weekly meeting minute. If I have any misunderstandings, then please let me know. 1. HW - FT2 Fail issue in the factory. Foxconn is checking on acoustic chamber issue and speaker failure issue now. Foxconn will provide as follows - FT2 failure rate - whether Foxconn VN has Golden sample for acoustic test equipment Acoustic test equipment Test result with Golden sample Foxconn think that failure rate of FT2 is less than 10%. But if failure rate is above 10%, then Foxconn should check with Golden sample even though Factory is busy for MP. - Speaker Cable Data sheet If there is no change on datasheet, then there is no issue to prepare PN and its process. - Audio noise issue Foxconn will provide defect sample to ALT.(Button issue and audio noise issue units) - 2nd source introduction Foxconn provide status of 2nd source introduction for both Eagle and SWAN by e-mail. Foxconn is checking on e-PHY chip, and currently Foxconn has e-phy through put issue only. - Void issue ALT will comment on document that Foxconn provided by 11/15. - INKEL housing quality issue ALT asked to check housing issue to Mr. Jim. ALT is waiting for Jim's feedback nopw. - Golden sample ALT will update Golden sample by next week. - EPD for Eagle Foxconn will provide electricity consumption data for Eagle production next week. - BT Module ALT provide other vendor(MOVON) BT module to Foxconn. It is already tested on RF part for BQB. Foxconn confirm that there is no issue on layout. Foxconn keep reviewing and inform when they have question. |

Hi All, I share today's meeting minute. If anyone find my misunderstandings, then please let me know. And it should be update before next weekly meeting. 1. Eagle a. 2nd source introduction . BT Solution should be chosen by ALT. BQB certification cost for Movon Module will be provide by FII Biz Team. . E-Fuse Foxconn reviewed 2nd sources(GMT/Maxim/Onsemi). But Foxconn found that other part is using same component. So Foxconn will keep using TI e-fuse instead of others. 2. Factory a. Void issue Temperature of Reflow profile is higher than high limit of FFC connect. Foxconn found another solder paste and inform it to Factory. Foxconn will inform to ALT about the test plan when they receive plan from factory. Foxconn will provide FFC connector data sheet to ALT. 3. HW a. Acoustic testing Equipment. ALT commented the review result for Foxconn test result of acoustic chamber. Foxconn will feedback about ALT's comment after their review. ALT asked Golden samples. Golden sample : Foxconn will review ALT's comment on mantis. And they will change test criteria and apply it MP. If there is no issue, then Foxconn check the samples that has all the measurements are in the middle of criteria. Cost and Q'ty of Golden sample should be discuss when test result is OK. b. Audio noise issue Factory sent 2 samples to ALT on 11/18. Factory also sent 2 samples to Foxconn TW. All the defect sample for Foxconn are audio noise defect samples. c. 2nd source introduction Foxconn provide 2nd source test report on Mantis. ALT will review the report and feedback by next Monday. 2nd source introduction plan : P2P components : SWAN - 1 week delay due to FFC Cable Eagle - keep schedule. Non P2P components : It should make again after finalize cost issue. d. Ask to help on PN changing process of Foxconn Foxconn need ALT's help to reduce internal process in Foxconn. Foxconn will provide an e-mail on it. ALT will feedback after review the e-mail from Foxconn. 4. Production Plan a. Production Plan update Current Production plan is not enough. Foxconn should make new plan to increase the q'ty of delivery within this year. ALT will have meeting with SKB next Thursday on delivery plan. Foxconn should make new plan and provide it by next Wednesday morning. Foxconn should update to ALT whenever Foxconn have any update on FFC delivery. |

DFM Review Item 13 : Design issue - Button issue ALT will update INKEL’s updated mold drawing and effective date by next week. Foxconn will update the option that INKEL can assemble button PCBA on Top cover if Foxconn can provide PCBA. Item 17 : Housing Issue - Protection film Foxconn factory will provide some information to ALT about protection film. Item 19 : Gap issue ALT ask Foxconn to check long term solution and short term solution. ALT will update the spec. of gap issue on Visual inspection document by 12/3. D. Ferrite core It was waiting customers clearance. But it just passed today. 3. Eagle A. OTA issue Foxconn provide document on OTA issue by e-mail. ALT will make document and provide it to SKB. Foxconn cannot use Factoryreset API of SPTek because it is java code. So if MW vendor provide some low level factory reset API, then Foxconn can use it for factory SW Foxconn and ALT will discuss about OTA test after control run. B. 2nd source introduction. Is it for your internal process ? c. Audio Noise issue Foxconn received 2 defected samples. But Foxconn didn’t reproduce it yet. Foxconn will update their review result by 11/30. ALT already received 2 defected samples. But one is button issue and the other is audio issue. ALT reproduced issue. It happen 2/100. ALT will update their review result next week. [ALT 1201] Foxconn tested a defected unit. The Failure rate was 6/50. ALT provide to HW change to avoid this issue. Foxconn reworked and test again, but there is no issue. Hi Ms. Carey Lu, I summarized today's meeting minute. If there is any misunderstandings, please let us know. 1. HW a. Acoustic testing Foxconn will update on Mantis about freq. change request(1KHz->400Hz) by ALT. b. Audio Noise issue ALT shared EMI test result on ECO for Audio noise issue(12/9). Foxconn can apply this after 1 ~ 2weeks later after ECO Process. ALT asked to apply this change to defected unit during the mass production from now on. Foxconn will check and feedback by 12/13 c. 2nd Source ALT feedback on E CAP on mantis. ALT gave feedback on Diodes. ALT asked to check after apply Audio noise issue ECO. d. FFC Cable Foxconn got feedback from Vendor that there is no issue on defected FFC Cable thickness, but it is Chinese version. Foxconn will provide English version when they receive from their vendor. Connector vendor will review the issue by 12/10. Foxconn will provide their review result to ALT. ALT asked Foxconn to check that there is any strength spec. on shield material of FFC cable. Foxconn will check it and feedback to ALT. Factory report is under internal process for approval to send.(ALT received it after meeting.) 2. Factory a. Void issue Foxconn is waiting for new solder paste. ALT asked to check that reflow time change. Factory will test it on next Monday for 100 pcs. And they will take x-ray pictures to validate it. ALT asked solder paste data sheet.(ALT received it after meeting). b. DFM i. Button Ass'y test INKEL will provide 2.5K component by air ASAP. Those top covers applied some improvement on Button hole. Those are enlarged about 0.2 mm. INKEL and ALT are reviewing additional solution to improve button assembly now. Foxconn can test that Foxconn assemble Button ass'y in their factory for 100 pcs. And Foxconn review the what the reason of button defects are. And they will provide it to ALT. For this test, ALT will inform when INKEL can provide button components without assembly. ii. LED Side bracket assembly INKEL will provide EVA gasket for boss. They will make EVA Gasket and attach it on boss. iii. Protection film. INKEL accepted Foxconn's suggestion. They will prepare the material for it. ALT will check when INKEL will use new protection bag for delivery. ALT find some protection film and INKEL will test it. ALT will inform when we get report from INKEL. 3. Eagle a. 2nd source Introduction i. BT Module. ALT and Foxconn biz team are discussing about it. Foxconn asked ALT to finalize. The Cypress chipset status is getting worse. ii. No. of samples for ALT 1st phase of 2nd source is Reset IC only. Foxconn can provide acoustic chamber test result for 100 pcs by the end next week. But it depends on the material status. b. Audio Noise issue Foxconn cannot apply ECO for defected units during MP before ECO Process complete. So Foxconn will keep defected units before ECO process complete, and ECO will be applied after ECO process complete. c. 2nd Source Electronic capacitor Samyoung rejected to provide their parts to Foxconn through Foxconn's agent. Samyoung wants to provide their parts to Foxconn directly, but it is impossible that they are not in QVL. Even though ALT provide LOA, Foxconn top management may not accept it. So Foxconn need another vendors. Foxconn checked another vendor's LT, but it was more than 300 days, such as Nichicon, Panasonic and Rubycon. So Foxconn wants to use SUSCON and LELON. But ALT cannot accept to use SUSCON and LELON due to those vendor are not reliable. E-Cap is very critical parts so ALT wants to use those parts from reliable vendors. Foxconn asked ALT to provide ALT opinion via e-mail from Mr. Steve Lee. ALT sent e-mail today. d. FFC Cable Connector vendor sent defected sample to their HQ in Japan on 12/14, and it will arrived today. Connector vendor will inform when they can provide analysis report after receiving defect samples. Foxconn hope that it will be provided by next week. Cable vendor didn't provide their review report in English yet. They suggested pin configuration change, but it may need PCB change. So it is difficult to accept. Foxconn applied short term solution since 11/27, and they keep applying until the solution is finalized. 2. Factory a. Void issue Foxconn will check the feedback of ALT by today. 3. DFM a. Item 13 Control run to find the root cause of Button ass'y issue. Foxconn will check whether this control run may impact delivery schedule and inform ALT. ALT will check the when INKEL can provide those parts for control run. b. Item 33 Foxconn accepted to use old housing up to 25K. Foxconn will rework for removal side LED boss up to 13K. But Foxconn cannot rework after 13K delivery. Both parties Biz teams should discuss who should do rework and who should pay for it. c. Item 17 Top cover package will change from Jan. 2022. ALT check exact date with INKEL can provide new package. d. Item 19 ALT will check with INKEL when INKEL can provide short term solution and inform Foxconn by today. 4. Hi Ms. Carey Lu, 1. We are checking the cost of E-CAP now. We think we can do it, so we are concerning about cost and LT now. Our biz team will contact your biz team on it. 2. We accepted we will pay delivery cost. 3. We don't need any sample for eagle that use new RESET IC. So we need 40 pcs for each samples that use new e-PHY and BT. There is an test issue on woofer balance. We will review it by next week. b. Foxconn factory still have 578 pcs semi-FG that produced before. Hi All, I update about meeting minute last week as follows. 1. HW a. Acoustic testing(911) After using 2 sec wave file for 400Hz woofer balance test, the test result is stable. => [ALT] ALT will ask summarize of Acoustic chamber test what we need more information. b. FFC Cable Foxconn prefer to use solution 2 due to adhesive risk. Hirose Japan had vacation last week, so they will feedback next week. FII will start to discuss with Hirose Taiwan today. => ALT asked Foxconn to check it with Connector vendor. ALT prefer to use Connector vendor's choice. ALT asked FII to add ALT members on e-mail communication between FII and Hirose Japan. c. 2nd Source Sample Build 1/6 test complete 1/7 will send sample to Taiwan RD. 1/10 ~ 1/11 FII will receive new sample. 1/12 FII will send sample to Synaptics CN. Foxconn VN cannot send sample to Synaptics CN. 0000024:0000001/17 Synaptics CN will get new sample 0000024:0000001/21 Synaptics provide SW patch for new DC DC Converter. After that FII can start control run. So Foxconn thinks that the schedule may delayed. => Foxconn will provide sample build schedule and control run etc. d. ALT asked Foxconn to add Broken FFC cable issue on tracking list. e. DFM Button ass'y Foxconn will do control run with "hole size enlarge". They will provide result to ALT by 1/7. Foxconn will do control run with new ass'y method from 1/11. Removal Side LED Boss Rib Inkel rework from Jan. delivery Apply Bubble bag INKEL tested bubble bag in environmental test condition. But there are some mark on the housing. So ALT is discussing with INKEL for use of limited condition, such as delivery for INKEL VN to Foxconn VN only. Add eva gasket on side LED Boss to reduce the gap between bottom cover and the side deco. Inkel will add from Jan. delivery 2. Factory a. Void issue Foxconn will use Foxconn optimization setting, such as reflow rate, solder paste and stencil. ALT asked to have control run with Foxconn optimization setting and new stencil. ALT wants to know what is the next step to resolve void issue. Foxconn will check with expert on it and come back soon. 3. Eagle : a. RMA Foxconn will update RMA status after checking it with Foxconn VN. b. 2nd source Introduction Reset IC change - FII will do control run on 1/8. Eth PHY change - FII will sample build on 1/8. It will be do separate with Reset IC change control run. FII will inform when they can start control run. ALT asked 3 samples from sample build for EMI Scan. And ALT asked 38 samples from control run for SKB and ALT use included BMT/QA. BT change - FII will do sample build. In this sample build use realtek Eth-PHY instead of Motorcomm. Hi All, I update about meeting minute last week as follows. 1. HW a. Acoustic testing(911) Foxconn will collect MP data from next MP. Current plan for next MP is SMT from 1/17 and Sub B'd SMT from 1/19 Foxconn will provide data after next MP. b. FFC Cable Foxconn is waiting for feedback from Hirose JP now. Hirose JP doesn't have experience on FFC cable, so they are discussing with Cable vendor in Japan now. ALT asked Foxconn to push Hirose for their feedback on FFC cable improvement options. ALT asked Foxconn that Foxconn arrange to discuss Hirose with FFC cable vendor in TW, not JP. FFC Cable vendor is preparing 2 new FFC Cable, but vendor will provide another sample with free of charge when Hirose suggests another structure or material for new FFC Cable. c. 2nd Source Sample Build 1/13 Sample ETA in TW 1/14 Foxconn will send a sample to Synaptics CN. Foxconn will provide 2nd source sample unit to ALT until 2/11. d. Broken FFC Cable 1/13 Foxconn sent 2 defected samples to CN. Foxconn expect to get vendor's analysis by next week. Foxconn think that vendor should find the exact broken position of cable first. ALT asked Foxconn to provide below test result. Test report that cable folding-unfolding repeatedly. 2. Factory a. Void issue Foxconn have 2 tests to reduce void issue. Option 1 Combination : Foxconn optimized profile, old soldering paste, Stencil thickness(0.1mm) Foxconn already did control run with Option 1 combination on 1/13. Foxconn will check when they can provide test result. Option 2 Combination : Foxconn optimized profile, new soldering paste, Stencil thickness(0.09mm) Foxconn will plan new control run on option 2 combination. They will inform when they fix the plan. 3. Eagle a. EPD Foxconn will provide the process to get approval to visit Foxconn VN factory for EPD audit. b. 2nd source Reset IC Foxconn had some PCBA related issue for MP. So control run is delayed. Control run for new reset IC will start 1/20. e-Phy Sample will be sent to TW on 1/14. Foxconn TW will review the samples. After HW review of samples, Foxconn will send 3 samples to ALT. BT Foxconn can build 15 samples only. So Foxconn cannot provide it to ALT. ALT will receive all samples after control run, not sample build. 4. DFM Button ass'y Foxconn will provide Control run by 1/18 Bubble bag INKEL find new bubble bag with different material. INKEL will test it by 1/27. ALT asked acoustic chamber test SW. Foxconn will provide Lab view file of acoustic chamber test. Foxconn factory can provide it by 1/27. b. FFC Cable 2 kinds FFC Cable samples will be delivered from 2/10 from vendor. Vendor will send samples to Foxconn factory in VN. Foxconn factory will do reliability test include burning test. It will take about a week. ALT asked to provide vendor's reliability test result, and Foxconn will ask to Vendor. ALT asked HALT Test result too. Foxconn will ask vendor about HALT test. And Foxconn will provide which test items vendor will test for their reliability and HALT test. c. 2nd Source Sample Build Foxconn already provide PCBA to Synaptics. Foxconn expect that it will be arrive by today. This schedule is delayed about a week. So Foxconn will push Synaptics to provide new driver for new component. Foxconn Factory will provide 8 samples to ALT by 1/25. On LED Driver tuning : New LED driver has different brightness adjustment type. New Awnic has linear type but TI has exponential type Foxconn will check the difference of Color of LED based on its current. But ALT asked Foxconn to check the color with color measurement equipment, not current. Foxconn will check it. Foxconn will provide their first tune value after color and brightness tune. ALT will check it with new samples but it is not enough to explain to SKB. The best way to explain about color difference between each LED Driver is to use test result of color measurement, not current. d. Broken FFC Cable Foxconn will receive Chinese version by 1/21. And Foxconn will provide English version by 1/26. 2. Factory a. Void issue Foxconn will do new control run on 1/25. Its combination is as follows : new solder paste + 0.1mm stenceil + Fii optimized profile But ALT think that it is not good to investigate the root cause of void and solder ball issue. So ALT asked Foxconn to review the FII optimized profile(reflow time and temperature). Foxconn will wechat group and discuss about it include ALT.Eagle 3. Eagle a. 2nd source Reset IC Foxconn will control run 1/25. Its reliability test will be provided after CNY. e-Phy Foxconn RD are investigating new e-phy chip now. There is no issue now. Foxconn is testing long aging test with CRC and EMI etc. The test result can be provide form next week. Foxconn will provide 3 samples to ALT after their test. BT Sample build will be started from 1/22 due to PCB delay. 4. DFM Bubble bag INKEL changed their plan to test due to sample delivery issue. INKEL will test 2/7 ~ 2/10. And INKEL can provide test report by 2/11. Rework Foxconn found Top cases without side LED rib cutting in INKEL's Jan. delivery. And Foxconn also found Bottom case Boss without "C-type" gasket. Foxconn asked ALT to check it with INKEL. ALT asked to INKEL about it, and complain why those issue happen in VN Factory. ALT is waiting for INKEL's feedback. 5. Etc. HW & ME - FFC cable and connector defected sample We asked HALT Test result last weekly meeting. So please check with your vendor about HALT test condition and let me know. - 2nd Source PMIC change from SY8824 or HL7593 Synaptics and Foxconn seems to be worked together. As you know, we should have a SW that can support both SY8824 and HL7593 at the same time. 2. Factory - Void issue We are very embarrassed on your DOA on 1/25. We asked you not to have additional control run last weekly meeting. And as you know, we already have wechat group to discuss on this issue. But you do control run without any discussion on the condition for control run. We are strongly ask you to discuss the next step and condition for next control run. - Golden sample We got golden samples early of this week. But it is not enough for golden sample. Some components are missing. We asked INKEL to provide another samples. They will prepare and send it on 2/9. So we may send Golden samples the 4th week of Feb.(by 2/25) But it depends on logistics status. 3. Eagle - RMA Please provide repair details for each STB before return it to Korea. Acoustic testing(911) Foxconn need time to collect data from vendor. => ALT asked to make a plan when data will be collected and update on Mantis. b. FFC Cable HALT Test Foxconn is trying to check whether Foxconn factory can test HALT test in VN. Because ALT asked to use 10 samples for test. If Foxconn factory cannot test it, then Foxconn will check below option. Option 1 : Test in 3rd party Lab. In VN. Option 2 : Test in TW or Vendor's Lab. In CN. Foxconn will update their status on Mantis. Reliability test Foxconn provide sample reliability test report on Mantis. Foxconn think that its reliability test items are normal test condition as a standard. So Foxconn thinks that it is acceptable. ALT misunderstood that it is test report. ALT will review and update ALT's review opinion on Mantis by today. c. 2nd Source Sample Build HL7593WL08 Foxconn provide test result on Mantis. ALT will review it. ALT has some noise issue when ALT test FFV(NUGU) function. ALT thinks that it looks CPU performance issue that ALT met before. But ALT found that AMP B'd ECO doesn't apply on 2nd source B'd. ALT informed to Foxconn about ECO. And ALT will test again with ECO. ALT also asked to Foxconn to apply ECO for all 2nd source B'ds and test it. Awinic LED Driver ALT can accept that LED Color based on CIE test report. ALT can accept that LED animation action with new LED driver. Motorcomm Gbit Ethernet PHY Foxconn will provide test report by today. EMI Test Foxconn tested EMI with all 2nd source components. => Foxconn need ALT's feedback of 2nd source sample for next step(PCB order for sample build). ALT will check NUGU operation on Monday and feedback to Foxconn. HW Validation test for Eth Phy and LED Driver Eth Phy : Foxconn use 4K contents playback and iperf test LED Driver : ALT asked to test as following condition LED Brightness : Keep the brightness during the test. Color : LED color change every 1 sec. for 72Hr. SWAN uses 13 colors for NUGU and status indication. [NUGU : blue, Green, Orange, Status : Blue, Green, Red, White Side - Cyan, Orange, Pink, White(it use 2 different colors), yellow] Foxconn will check with SW team and feedback to ALT. d. Broken FFC Cable Foxconn factory will provide 8D report e. FFC Bunt Foxconn think that it is not FFC cable and common mode filter. This issue looks PCB related issue. So Foxconn provide PCB to PCB vendor and ask investigate it. Foxconn will provide RD Analysis report to ALT today. Foxconn will provide vendor's Defect sample analysis report when Foxconn receive it. It is very critical and urgent issue, so ALT asked Foxconn to push PCB vendor to review defect sample. Foxconn need defected adaptor to review this issue. But ALT inform that it is very difficult to explain to SKB. This issue itself looks very serious. So it may make some misunderstand to SKB. But anyway ALT will try to check whether SKB can provide adaptor to ALT. 2. Eagle a. RMA Foxconn factory didn't start repair for RMA samples. Foxconn Factory can make a plan by 2/24 and let ALT knows. ALT complained about the sharing the status of RMA process. ALT received status of RMA process in this week as follows 2/21 Foxconn will finish rework b. 2nd source Due to material shortage, Foxconn cannot meet sample build schedule for e-Phy. Acoustic testing(911) 2nd Acoustic test chamber data will be received by today. Vendor contact point information will be provided by today Test Video clip will be provided today by Foxconn. Test SW And License Foxconn will check the quotation about Test SW and its license and feedback soon b. FFC Cable Foxconn Factory received 2 kinds of sample on Feb. 21. Foxconn Factory cannot conduct reliability test because required test condition is beyond of chamber specification, especially temperature limitation. And Foxconn factory cannot visit 3rd party to test it due to COVID-19. And Foxconn QA should attend reliability and HALT test. So Reliability test and HALT test should be tested in Taiwan. Due to payment of test, Foxconn cannot conduct to Foxconn TW Lab.. Foxconn is discussing with Vendor where they can conduct reliability and HALT test. Foxconn will update the test site when it is decided. Sample build Foxconn will rework after SWAN 2nd source sample build. -> ALT asked below questions. - How many samples Foxconn will use for reliability test with 2nd source sample ? - How many samples Foxconn will use for each new FFC cable ? Foxconn : 5 pcs for each FFC cable. - Will Foxconn test reliability test for new cable and 2nd source separately ? -> FII will discuss internally and feedback to ALT soon. Kapton Tape data sheet is not enough. Foxconn will check it with vendor and update it. c. 2nd Source ALT asked to apply ECO for Sample Build. ALT think we don't divide non-p2p / p2p 2nd source. Foxconn will conduct sample build at once(for both non-p2p and p2p). So ALT asked to remove "non-p2p" in front of 2nd source build. It may make some confusion. Foxconn asked to update noise issue to Foxconn SW part. And ALT will update it on mantis. ALT asked 2nd source build milestone(Gantt chart type). d. Broken FFC Cable Tracking list update is incorrect. It is update for new FFC cable. It about new FFC cable that improve GND short due to connector. For Broken FFC cable, ALT will leave comment on mantis after review on 8D report from Foxconn factory. e. PCB Burned Vendor, VGT CN will analyze it. ALT think that Factory can detect if it is PCB issue. Foxconn will discuss with Factory QA more, and feedback to ALT. Common mode filter Vendor tested with high current in component based. ALT asked Foxconn to reproduce this issue with contact FFC cable shield part and coil part of common mode filter. Foxconn will discuss with their QA. 2. Eagle a. RMA Foxconn factory will send RMA samples to Korea today. And Foxconn will provide FA report by 2/28 b. 2nd source BT Part - SW development needs 2~3 weeks more. HW part didn't finish verification test yet, but Foxconn will conduct circuit design and HW verification test at the same time. So Foxconn can keep the schedule in HW side. ALT asked to update SW status on tracking list from next weekly meeting. Foxconn cannot provide any sample that use new BT module. Foxconn will provide samples after sample run. Vendor tested acoustic Chamber at China Factory. Foxconn asked to test more wide Frequency range after 1st chamber delivery. Vendor changed test spec. based on FII's request. So 2nd acoustic chamber background noise test result was not same freq. range. SW License Vendor provide 2nd Chamber without License. FII will check it with biz team about quotation. After check it, FII will update about it. b. FFC Cable HALT Test ALT confuse about HALT test items. So Foxconn will list each HALT test item and mark the items that Foxconn may skip. ALT will review it and feedback to FII. Test fee Foxconn ties to reduce test items not to pay for the test. Foxconn HW QA test doesn't need to pay. Tensile Strength issue ALT asked 33 lbs/in^2. But Vendor use 9.8 N/cm^2. Foxconn Factory received 2 kinds of sample on Feb. 21. So Foxconn will check with vendor why they didn't follow our recommendation. 2 solutions for FFC cable. ALT doesn't care what kinds of solution Foxconn select. But it should be met test scenario 1 and 2. ALT asked to check whether kepton tape is pierced or not after the test. Foxconn understand ALT's concern and will discuss with vendor and inform to ALT. c. 2nd Source Foxconn will not test EMI/EMC with samples that will manufacture during sample build. Foxconn already tested it with sample for development. New ethernet PHY was applied. ALT concerned that there is not much margin when KC applied before. d. Broken FFC Cable Foxconn will update FA report by 3/9. e. PCB Burned PCB Vendor will provide x-section report by today. Foxconn will ask to make it in English. ALT asked to provide their report even though they can provide only Chinese version. Foxconn will provide 8D report based on Vendor's report. 2. Factory a. Void issue ALT asked to inform what Foxconn factory's suggestion is. 3. Eagle a. RMA Foxconn factory provided RMA report by today. ALT will give feedback after review it. b. 2nd source BT Part - SW development status. Foxconn has an issue with old RCU(BA01). Foxconn provide sample to AMLOGIC to check it. Acoustic testing(911) SW License ALT is waiting for the update on Test SW and its license. Foxconn will check with vendor about below items SW License - serial no. Test SW b. FFC Cable(1417) HALT Test Foxconn will ask quotation about HALT test to their 3rd Party Lab. Test Scenario 1 will be conducted by FII HWQA next week. Foxconn will inform exact schedule about test. Foxconn HW QA will handle both test scenario 1 and 2. Test fee Foxconn will ask FFC cable vendor to pay for HALT test fee Tensile Strength issue FFC cable vendor had mistake to check our requirement. So they didn't use Kepton tape that meet our requirement. But FFC Cable vendor said that their Kepton tape has the higher Tensile strength than its spec. Their vendor's test result show it. ALT ask Foxconn to check it. 1. If Vendor guarantees of its test result, then change Kepton tape specification and provide it again. 2. Vendor can provide another sample that use new kepton tape that meet our requirement. Foxconn will check it with FFC cable vendor and will feedback to ALT. ALT asked Foxconn to follow test sequence as follows. HALT test DUTs use FFC cable that already tested HALT Test scenario 1. After both test scenario 1 and 2, to check whether Kepton tape is penetrated or not. Foxconn will check it with their HW QA Team. c. 2nd Source(1357/1392) Foxconn will send samples on 3/22(ETD). ALT will scan EMI/EMC with the samples that Foxconn already provide on 3/21. d. Broken FFC Cable(1373) Foxconn will provide FA report 3/14. e. PCB Burned(1428) PCB Vendor already provided x-section report in English. This report was prepared by Vendor's 3rd party Lab. Foxconn QA Team will work with their PCB vendor and make 8D report. It will be provide to ALT next week. ALT asked Foxconn to include as follow What is the root cause ? How many samples may have same issue ? Who has the responsibility for this issue ? How should we handle this issue that will happen in the field later ? 2. Factory a. Void issue(1315) Foxconn will inform which profile is the preferable for Foxconn factory. 3. Eagle a. EPD(1180) SKB will not ask EPD Certification in this year. So ALT commented this situation on Mantis. Vendor will conduct reliable test with new sample Foxconn HW QA will handle HALT test in Taiwan(both Test scenario 1 and 2) Kepton tape datasheet Test standard in the datasheet is ASTM D3330. But ALT checked it and it was to test Peel adhesion of pressure-sensitive tape. So ALT think that it is the test standard for adhesion not tensile strength. ALT checked other test standard. Foxconn still have material shortage issue on BT realtek. So currently the only solution is to use MOVON Module. ALT will discuss to use MOVON Module again. Foxconn doesn't have issue to use Movon except for purchasing. It should be discussed in Biz meeting this afternoon. Foxconn think that new BT chipset introduction need 3 ~ 4 month. Introduction 2nd source(component needs new SW) Change mass production SW version. SKB start normal OTA after their BMT. But they start OTA for small q'ty of STB at first and then they extend no. of STB for OTA. After almost all STB use the latest version of SW, then SKB want to change mass production SW version. Normally it takes about 2 month after BMT. If new SW increase VoC then they will stop OTA and wait new SW release. So we cannot expect exact duration from BMT to new SW use for MP. Foxconn engineer, Mr. Tom Lee, asked to consign DC/DC power HL 7593WL08 that Halo microelectronic is not Fii's QVL vendor. But it should not be a consign component. Foxconn need designate letter. Foxconn VN will send defected part to Realtek. Foxconn VN will inform RMA schedule to ALT. ALT is difficult to understand current situation. There was no issue during production, but PT station can filter as a defected unit when it is tested after return to VN. ALT wants to know what is the different between first test and 2nd test in the Factory. ALT ask to Foxconn to investigate more how to filter those issue during production. ii. No Ethernet Foxconn VN solder SoC again and test at PT station. It passed. But Youtube contents is played for 2Hr during OBA Test, the issue happen again. ALT asked Foxconn to test defected unit at PT station. Foxconn will inform after test. iii. No Boot Short with heat sink : Foxconn Factory think that 24V power pin to connect heat sink. That made boot fail. ALT already tested without housing in Korea. So ALT thought that short is not a root cause. ALT asked Foxconn to test power cycle for 24Hr and it should turn on/off every 3 min., cold boot. Foxconn Factory will do and inform the test result. Boot fail during OBA test Foxconn tested defected unit with PT station and OBA. It worked But this unit had boot fail issue after 2Hr of OBA test. Foxconn RD(SW part) will join the investigation of this issue. iv. Button issue Foxconn factory will do Dye and Pry test and cross-section. Foxconn will update its result by next Friday. v. [SWAN] [MP] 2022.01-03 Mass production inspection report ALT asked to update about no boot issue. Foxconn Factory thought that Silergy is damaged, but vendor investigate and there was no issue on part level. ALT asked Foxconn Factory what the next step is. Foxconn will review it and update by today. c. [SWAN] Extra product, PCBA and Spare parts for RMA There is no changes on the schedule. d. [SWAN] [MP] 2022.06 Mass production inspection report(https://mantis.cnsbg.foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=1506) i. No Boot. 1st no boot unit - ALT asked to check the log that ALT attached on mantis. There is no update on it. Foxconn will review it with SW engineer and will leave comments. ii. There are many soldering issue, such as 2nd no boot unit, No ethernet unit and Button issue. ALT asked Foxconn to prepare any improvement plan for soldering issue. Foxconn will invite their Quality manager next weekly meeting. ALT asked Foxconn to provide any document that ALT can review before the meeting. Foxconn will provide any document by 8/4 morning. iii. Ethernet unstable unit - ALT asked Foxconn to provide RMA schedule. Foxconn will give some update after check with SQA. e. GPIO Issue. ALT asked Foxconn to add this issue on Weekly tracking issue agenda. Foxconn will update their Dye & Pry test and cross section result by this week. 4. Eagle a. LED Defect(https://mantis.cnsbg.foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=1448) It is about LED Sponge misalign issue. Foxconn factory think that this issue caused by customer, ALT. But we didn't touch it. Dear Ms. Eva Sun and Mr. Sean Chiang, I summarized last week's meeting minute. If there is any misunderstandings, please let us know. 1. PM a. Eagle RMA ALT wants to know the current status of RMA repair. How many units does Factory decide to Non-defected units ? Foxconn VN will update the current status of RMA by today. 2. HW a. FFC Cable(https://mantis.cnsbg.foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=1417) Foxconn informed the q'ty of units without FFC cable short term solution. It is 4.7K. Foxconn will discuss internally about the support additional FFC cable for repair. Foxconn will discuss with FFC vendor can provide any cost increase, and inform it to ALT. b. Defected FFC cable. Foxconn factory received the fixture and ready to apply FATP. The test is OK and will use from next MP. c. PCB Burned(https://mantis.cnsbg.foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=1428) Foxconn factory already finish control run. There is no issue during control run. ALT reviewed the control run report and doesn't have any concern if there is any cost impact. Foxconn informed that there is no cost impact. And Foxconn will issue ECO by today. ALT will leave the comment "Go next step" on mantis. d. MP adaptor conduction issue(https://mantis.cnsbg.foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=1469) Adaptor vendor didn't produce new adaptor that use new line filter yet because the material shortage. Their plan is Vendor will produce new adaptor by 8/15. Vendor will start EMI test from 8/22. Vendor thinks that the root cause is the issue of coil winding shape. If it is not even, then it make some issue. ALT will review the vendor's test report with increase no. of DUT. 3. Factory a. Vietnam Factory report on defected issue. - 1.1. No boot ALT provided defected PCBA only. And Foxconn assemble the housing and tested. Foxconn cannot found any other boot issue after cut the component leg. ALT asked the captured log in mantis. Foxconn reviewed it. Foxconn thought that there are 2 boot log in the captured log. But the symptom is not same on tzk related. So ALT asked Foxconn to check the eMMC stability. So Foxconn will eMMC R/W test with defected Unit in factory and normal unit in TW office. After test, Foxconn will provide it. In RMA process, there is no SW update for OBA test. After issue reproduce during RMA, STB SW may upgraded for repair. - 1.2 No boot Foxconn asked to provide additional defected units. ALT asked Foxconn to help how ALT can ALT decide the defected units caused by soldering issue. Foxconn think that the impedance of GPIO that has soldering issue is high. Foxconn will inform how ALT can measure GPIO Impedance. - 2 No ethernet. Foxconn didn't change SoC during the re soldering(FA step 7). Foxconn just resolder the SoC, then it work without any issue. Resoldering means that Foxconn heat again SoC area of PCBA with heat gun. Foxconn still have 2 test now. After test, Foxconn update test report on Mantis. - 3. Ethernet unstable. Foxconn provide defected Ethernet PHY to vendor on 7/26. Vendor will update the RMA result by 8/12. - 4. HDMI cable defect. FIT tested HDMI cable in stock. FIT has 17K cables. Currently they tested 2686 pcs, but there is no issue. ALT concern why FIT cannot found issue even though we have 5 defected units. ALT asked FIT to check LOT information that include defected HDMI cable. And they will test units that has same LOT no. first. b. [SWAN] [MP] 2022.05 Mass production inspection report ALT asked 8D report update on AMP B'd and LED B'd. But there is no update. Foxconn Factory will update it by 8/5 c. [SWAN] [MP] 2022.01-03 Mass production inspection report Foxconn asked vendor to return silergy IC, Silergy is looking for it that Foxconn sent for RMA. Defected unit worked normal when Foxconn replaced silergy component to new one. If Silergy cannot find the defected component, then Foxconn cannot debug more. d. [SWAN] Extra product, PCBA and Spare parts for RMA There is no changes on the schedule. Extra product and PCBA already shipped. And extra spare parts will be ship on 8/12. e. [SWAN] [MP] 2022.06 Mass production inspection report(https://mantis.cnsbg.foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=1506) Foxconn factory provide update on this issue. ALT and Foxconn discussed it. Please refer a. f. GPIO Issue. Please add it on tracking list. Foxconn will update Dye and Pry and cross section test result. There was no abnormal status. Foxconn asked additional defected sample. Foxconn needs 3 more at least. 4. Eagle a. 2nd source (https://mantis.cnsbg.foxconn.com/vaas/view.php?id=1519) ALT has some ethernet issue on 2nd source HW. Foxconn cannot reproduce it. But ALT can reproduce it. It is a critical issue. So it should be resolve before apply new SW for MP b. Test plan of shielding removal On EMI test, Foxconn has some issue on 890MHz. Foxconn think that it caused by HDMI cable. Foxconn think that they can pass when they change HDMI cable. So Foxconn asked to test in Korea first. If there is no issue, then they will not test again. ALT asked Foxconn to provide test result. And ALT will review and feedback about Foxconn's opinion. The only solution that Foxconn has is replacement of HDMI Cable. ALT worried how it debug when ALT find the issue during test in Korea. c. Passive Standby It should be finalize within Aug. It is SKB's requirement. So ALT asked Foxconn to update the status on weekly tracking list. Foxconn worried that Synaptics should provide some solution to meet SKB's requirement(under 1W). ALT worried that ALT cannot test Eagle due to SW issue. It should be discuss with both HW and SW side, and update current status and plan. Best Regards, SuhYoung YOON |
